Postponement of The Junior/Youth National Championships and National Youth Teams Championships
TBNZ regrets to announce the postponement of The Junior/Youth National Championships and National Youth Teams Championships due to take place in Tauranga from 3-9th October.
We have continued to hold off on making this decision in the hope that we can still host the event as scheduled and within the posted format. Unfortunately, the continued covid lockdowns, particularly in Auckland, make this extremely unlikely.
To provide certainty and enable bowlers and teams to change plans and rebook (and get some practice), we have made the decision in conjunction with Tenpin Tauranga to move the events to run from Tuesday 18th to Monday 24th January 2022.
All bowlers who were eligible to compete in this years event will continue to be eligible for the postponed event and will not “age out”, in Bantam, Junior and Youth Divisions.
We continue to recommend booking flexible airfares and accommodation for all tournaments and events
We are hopeful that we will not be in the same position regarding Covid restrictions for the new dates and look forward to seeing you all there!
