TBNZ Constitution and Structure Review
TBNZ Constitution Review
At the 2019 AGM, there was considerable discussion around the TBNZ Constitution, and whether it was still fit for purpose.
Since that meeting, the Constitution has been considered by a sub-committee appointed by the Board, and the sub-committee has come back with some recommended changes. These changes, as well as proposed changes to the structure of TBNZ, have been uploaded to the 2020 AGM page as discussion documents.
There are quite a few changes that have been proposed. The intent behind the constitution changes is to provide more flexibility in how TBNZ operates, so we can adjust to changing circumstances as required. The proposed structure changes are an example of this, streamlining the operation of TBNZ at all levels to minimize time commitments for volunteers.
The Board feels that it is appropriate to give the membership time to read these changes, digest them, talk about them, get the opportunity to suggest further changes, and then vote on them at a later meeting – either next year’s AGM or a Special General Meeting later this year.
