COVID-19 Tournament Update 28 March 2020

Tenpin Bowling New Zealand Inc (TBNZ) wishes to provide the following update regarding the Coronavirus and the impact on our sport. 

 

We do not take this issue lightly and will continue to act in accordance with the guidelines from the World Health Organisation, New Zealand Government, and in the best interests of our wider membership.

 

Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the situation, we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this difficult period. Although disappointing, we must ensure the health and wellbeing of bowlers, coaches, staff and venues are maintained.

 

Decisions related to all aspects of the sport are being discussed and monitored.

 

TBNZ Events

Senior Nationals

The Senior Nationals to be held at Tenpin Tauranga from 30 April – 3 May 2020 has been postponed until further notice.

 

Open Nationals

The Open Nationals to be held at Pins Lincoln from 29 May – 1 June 2020 has been postponed until further notice.

 

Ranked Events

The following ranked events have been postponed or are under review. Please contact tournament organisers for more information.

 

  • Waitakere Masters – 3 – 5 April 2020 – Postponed until further notice
  • World Cup Qualifier – 8 – 10 May – Decision pending
  • Hawkes Bay Open – 15 – 17 May – Decision pending

 

AGM

The AGM to be held in West Auckland on 29 May 2020 has been postponed until further notice.
